It seems that the bearded and regular iris love this climate.

The iris have naturalized and spread through out the yard.

We started with 6 types of plants - 2 each and now have more than 20.

Each year it is a surprise to see them emerge.

Their petals look like silk.

Could not resist buying this one last year to add another variety to the mix. This was the first year it bloomed.

This must be a young plant. It is only about 3 feet tall.

Bountiful iris now will give way to Hollyhock as the year moves forward.
